50 cents donation for every bike kilometer!
On Sunday, July 30, the 10th PSD Heart Ride took place at Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin. A total of 177,590 km were driven by all participants and 56,110€ of donated funds were collected.
Our team from the Institute of Cardiovascular Computer-Aided Medicine cycled a total distance of 2050 km for the fundraiser.
The donation from PSD Bank Berlin-Brandenburg will now go to the Clinic for Congenital Heart Defects at the Deutsche Herzzentrum der Charité, which is working on the development of a new artificial heart for children. An artificial heart is currently being developed at the ICM and will also be miniaturized for children in the future: "The Shuttlepump".
